Absolutely fabulous, Deb! I was not a hugeJimmy Buffet fan - mostly out of ignorance, just wasn't familiar with his music, if you can believe that. Though our favorite place to stay when we visited Ocracoke was a guest house called Margueriteville (Not terribly original but it was right on Pamlico Sound with a great view of the sunsets and we loved it!) Your writing is so evocative and profound, really. Thank you for sharing your insights and experiences. Wonderful!

Thank you so much for your kind words Deborah! I know exactly where Margaritaville is on that wonderful little island. I've not stayed there, but nearby in another house on the sound. Thank you for taking me there for a few minutes! Blessings, Deb

Buffet was a natural fit for our Cape Fear mood. A writer's writer. A non-conformer of the laid-back variety. Not really folk or country...he forged his style as he went.

I know you will miss him dearly.

I can still hear you singing his songs while I drank coffee and a B&B, which was all I could afford for an evening of music as you played. I imagine you miss him too. I'm grateful for such great connections among so many of us.
