Journey to the Well- July 2021
Dear ,
What do you do when your spiritual and emotional well runs dry? Wells represent those places within us that offer up nurturing and healing waters, but they run dry when we live in fear and uncertainty, as we have this past year. Now is the time to replenish our empty wells, and I hope we can do so together.
The well at Chalice Well Gardens, Glastonbury, UK. One legend says that Joseph of Arimathea brought Mary Magdalene here for safety after Jesus’s crucifixion. Another says the actual chalice – grail - from which Jesus drank at the last supper was hidden here. Another legend is that the well lies within the borders of Avalon, sacred to the goddess. The well cover, designed by Frederick Bligh Bond, depicts the Vesica Pisces – vessel of the fish - which is the basic building block of sacred geometry.
I get many emails from folks saying they would love to talk with me around my kitchen table. So, as a way of refilling our wells, let’s get together and talk. Let’s talk about the basics – energy, vibration, internal knowing. Let’s talk about the universe and our place in it. Let’s talk about our connection to ourselves, each other, and the world beyond. Let’s talk about books and music that sustain us. Let’s talk about the elements, and the four directions, and sacred geometry. Let’s talk about our hopes, our goals, and what we can share to support each other and make the world a better place. Let’s talk about our similarities and our differences, and let’s find common ground and a common language of care and promise. Keep reading to see what I have in mind.
Deb’s Table Talk – September 2021!
Three-Session Event
Thursdays, September 2, 9, & 16, 2021
8:00-9:30 PM EASTERN US TIME
You frequently write me to say you’d like to sit around my kitchen table and talk. So let’s do – virtually! You’ll connect with me and others on a spiritual journey. If you’d like to discover how the pieces of the cosmic puzzle fit
together for you, then this gathering of like-minded people is for you! And, if at the end of the three sessions, you’d like to keep working together – we will!
I’ll set the outline and parameters of each session, so that each week you have an opportunity to explore and ask questions about spiritual and metaphysical concepts. I hope we’ll delve deeply into topics that speak closely to your heart and spirit.
Here are a few topics I have in mind (and many others!)
Why am I here?
What’s out there, beyond our knowing?
How do I learn my soul’s purpose?
What is energy, really?
Why does sacred geometry matter?
How do I choose divination tools?
What’s my connection to the elements?
Let’s talk about chakras, auras, etc.
How do I meet my guides?
What do I do between lives?

Lughnasadh: Our Promise To the Harvest
Celebrated on August 1 in the Northern Hemisphere, Lughnasadh is one of the pagan harvest festivals, offering gratitude for grain and corn. The Celtic god Lugh, a member of the Tuatha de’ Danann pantheon, created the holiday in honor of his foster-mother.
Lughnasadh also is a time to visit holy wells, and many people make pilgrimages to sacred sites during this holiday. Throughout Celtic lands and much of Europe today, Lughnasadh fairs still occur, with participants selling or trading their harvest, racing horses, and exhibiting prowess in martial arts. Lughnasadh also is a popular time for hand-fasting rituals. Over time the holiday name has been Christianized to Lammas, meaning “loaf mass.”
While we think of a bountiful harvest as a gift and a promise to us, I’d invite you to think about your promise to the harvest. What do you reap in your life that sustains you, and offers aid to others? What is your commitment to continue to plant and grow and harvest bounty for the good of us all?
