Trust Within and Without- May 2021
Dear ,
As I write this, spring’s first real thunderstorm rages over my little island. I’m so grateful for the rain and shiver with delight as lightning flashes around me. I trust that the sun will shine again, and Mother Earth will be nourished and joyful.
May is all about trust. I’ve planted vegetables, herbs, and flowers and done all I can do to get them off to a good start. Now I trust implicitly that nature will do what nature is meant to do as the season shifts toward summer.
May is about trusting myself – telescoping inward to trust I will follow through on my commitment to care for the “standing people” with whom I live. They depend on me to prune and deadhead and transplant and water and fertilize them as they need. May also is about reminding myself I need to commit to caring for myself. That’s harder to do, but I’m trying.
May is about telescoping outward – trusting that I am deeply and eternally connected to something far greater than me. I am a part of the cosmos, and the cosmos is a part of me.

Also, note that there are two sections of this course – one in the afternoon and one in the evening (Eastern US time), so be sure to enroll in the section that best fits your schedule!
In this course you’ll learn how to:
1. strengthen your intuitive skills in working with the keys
2. incorporate other psychic tools into your work (crystals, pendulums…)
3. use the keys for prompts in writing, story-telling, and more
4. work with the keys in meditation and more!
5. examine legends and myths associated with Tarot that are still relevant today

Book Review: Cerridwen – Celtic Goddess of Inspiration
Kristoffer Hughes, Chief of the Anglesey Druid Order, a Mount Haemus Scholar, and a member of the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids, clearly loves the Celtic goddess Cerridwen, whose legends arise from Hughes’s native Wales. Hughes has studied her for many years. In his newest, deeply-researched book, Cerridwen, Celtic Goddess of Inspiration, he continues his exploration into the mysteries and gifts that Cerridwen offers us all.
Hughes, a recent guest on our PsychicTeachers podcast, writes of Cerridwen’s relevance in today’s world as well as the classical and magical implications of her story. He writes, “Quantum and particle physicists have employed imaginative names for the forces that they perceive to be acting on the universe….. Magic, perhaps, is the science that we have yet to quantify and compartmentalize.”
As with his earlier works, From the Cauldron Born, The Book of Celtic Magic, Natural Druidry, and As The Last Leaf Falls, Hughes brings readers of Cerridwen into the story by inviting them to undertake exercises that incorporate mind/body/spirit into the learning process of his lovely works.
For me, the experiential components of Hughes’s writing have been wonderful aids in helping me connect to Cerridwen, to the energies of land/sea/sky, and to myself. With each of his books, I dive more deeply into Cerridwen’s cauldron of inspiration, and consequently, dive more deeply into myself.

Crystal for the Month: Tourmalated Quartz
A subscriber emailed me recently with several great questions and suggestions. She asked me to write about my favorite crystals and how I relate to them. Great suggestion. Impossible task. Here’s why:
All of the crystals with whom I live are my favorites. I am so grateful for the distinct and unique work each of them does in the universal divine plan; I can never say one is more favorite than another. However, I asked my Guide to help me start the process, and he led me to Tourmalated Quartz.
Tourmalated Quartz is composed of Clear Quartz with needles of Black Tourmaline shot through. It is a stunning stone. It carries, of course, properties of both Clear Quartz and Tourmaline. The Quartz aids me in focusing, clarifying, directing, and amplifying energy and incoming information. The shards of Black Tourmaline act as protective swords again incoming negativity.
This lovely specimen was a gift from Joel and is palm size. When I am on a paranormal investigation, it’s in my left pocket. This enhances my ability to receive intuitive information (Quartz) and protects me from negativity (Tourmaline). When I do readings, it sits on the table in front of me for the same reasons. As it sits on my reading table, it additionally represents a groundedness to Earth energies and is surrounded by a candle to represent Fire, a feather for Air, and a shell for Water.
