Honoring Your Place on the Wheel of Life- April 2022
Dear ,
I’m spinning! So many wonderful events and holidays coming up and so much to do to celebrate and honor the passage of the seasons and the journey of the Moon through the sky! And the mysteries of crows…. Keep reading!
However, in the midst of such hope and celebration of the season, I’m also sending up prayers for those around the world whose lives are not joyful, and who are living in uncertainty, fear, loss, and grief. I’m also remembering Granny Jean the Palm Reader, who died on April 23, 2021. How has it been a year?
As you read this, Christian friends are in the midst of Holy Week, moving toward Easter on Sunday. Blessings to my Jewish friends who celebrate the feast of Passover beginning tonight, Friday, at sundown. Also, the Moon is full in Libra on Friday night, called by many names, depending on one’s tradition: Pink Moon, Wind Moon, Hare Moon, and more. Next Friday, April 22, is Earth Day. In a couple of weeks, we’ll celebrate the turning of the Wheel of the Year at Beltane on May 1, when we fertilize the fields and plant seeds, praying for a successful growing season.
AND I’ve got a brand new course starting in May … keep reading!

Whether you already consider yourself a Crone – a Wise One – or are moving into the next phase of your life, now would be a great time to explore the richness and depth of who you are! What does it mean to seek, and then find, that spark of divinity within yourself? What would it be like to give yourself permission to invoke intentions for your future in a way that is clear, concise, and tangible?
Ancient symbols guide your path, and yet most of us are unaware that they live in our homes every day! These symbols can help you to set intentions for the coming years and more!

Book of the Month: Crossing To Avalon
Crossing To Avalon by Dr. Jean Shinoda-Bolen underpins much of what I have studied and come to believe about my journey through life and the world around me. This book offered me a gate to the mysteries of the Holy Grail, and its predecessor, the Cauldron of Cerridwen, that live within me. I’ve learned to see the Divine Feminine as viewed from the apple orchards of Avalon.
I first read this book when I had no thoughts about growing to become a Crone. Cronehood was years away! Now, I realize that every twist and turn of my path, every lesson, and every encounter has led to embracing this moment.
In this amazing work, Dr. Bolen guides the reader on a pilgrimage to self, through journeys to the labyrinth at Chartres Cathedral, the Holy Well at Chalice Well Gardens, Glastonbury Tor, and Glastonbury Abby, and other sacred places. She awakes us to the role sacred geometry plays in our lives every day and invites us to pay attention to everything. Then, in turn, as we are the students, we can be the teachers.
Animal Guide of the Month: Crow
I am honored when I connect with your Animal Guides when you ask me to do an Animal Guides Reading for you. Sometimes the Animals who appear are already old friends to you, and the reading offers validation. Sometimes they are newer to you, but you’ve been noticing them around you recently. Sometimes you’ve never considered that some of them may be a part of your life, and you’re surprised or shocked.
In my belief, we have Animal Guides that are always with us, and our job is to pay closer attention to their messages. As you probably know, Hawk is my primary Guide, and last week she rose up from a ditch bank and flew across the hood of my car. I was on my way to an important meeting, and she was there to validate that I was on the right path.
However, I also have found that Animals who are not members of our core team appear when we need additional lessons or guidance. Recently, Crow has appeared to me in odd ways, so I’m paying attention. Now, Crow is a common bird where I live. Crow is everywhere, even on the beach strand.
Crow, however, has never before landed on a window ledge and stared through the glass at me. Crow has never before landed on the hood of my car at a traffic light. Crow has never before perched on the porch railing and then refused to leave as I approached, as close as five feet. All three of these events occurred last week.
So, what are the lessons I’m supposed to learn? First, Crow is the keeper of the sacred texts, so it’s time to visit my Akashic Records and to write, write my truth, and become my future self, as Carson and Sams say. Ted Andrews concurs: Crow energy is about the magic of creation.
I’m grateful to Crow for these lessons. What better time to commit to creating than now, in Spring?

PsychicTeachers Witches of the Shore
Just One More Thing Before You Go
I sat on a grassy hillside in golden sunlight, wearing my new “earth shoes” (Birkenstocks), listening to music, and eating an avocado and sprout sandwich on whole wheat bread (all of which were new to me). Speakers talked of “zero population growth,” “repairing the ozone layer,” and “our brother the Whale.” The year was 1970 and it was the first Earth Day celebration on my college campus.
Now, fifty-two years later, much has changed, and lots of it for the better. Yet there is so much more to do, and time is running out. One of my favorite slogans from the original Earth Day celebration is “Think globally. Act locally.” I still believe that. My locally-owned grocery stores and bookstores and essential oil store are the primary resources that got me through the dark days of the pandemic.
I also believe we must act globally. As we approach the Beltane holiday, celebrating the fertility of the land and the planting of seeds, I see ever-deepening connections among us all around the globe. As I continue to learn about the relationship between science and spirituality, the globe becomes smaller and smaller. The amazing Julia Butterfly Hill- who lived for 738 days in a redwood tree she named Luna, attempting to save it from being cut down- asked, “When we throw something away, where is away?”
One of my commitments this spring is to live more consciously for Mother Earth/Mother Ocean. I invite you to join me. And, as always…….
Thank you, !
